FLRA Announces Training Opportunities (June 19, 2015)

The Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) announces today a series of complimentary training opportunities in Washington, D.C.  The Authority is offering both its one-day arbitration training and its one day negotiability training (two separate sessions of each).  And the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) is presenting a specialized two-day workshop on office moves, space allocations, and the labor-relations and collective-bargaining implications.  For the full announcement, click here.     

Timothy J. Sullivan Named Regional Director of FLRA Denver Regional Office (June 18, 2015)

The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) of the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Timothy J. Sullivan as Regional Director of the Denver Regional Office.  Mr. Sullivan will be responsible for management of personnel and operations relating to the investigation, analysis, resolution, and litigation of unfair labor practice cases in the Denver Region, which covers Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming.  For the full announcement, click here.

President Obama Appoints Members to the Federal Service Impasses Panel (June 2, 2015)

The Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) is pleased to announce that President Obama has appointed Marvin E. Johnson and David E. Walker as Members of the Federal Service Impasses Panel (Panel), an independent entity within the FLRA.  FLRA Chairman Carol Waller Pope expressed her pleasure at the announcement, which means that the Panel now has a full complement of seven Members.  She looks forward to continuing to work with the Panel Members to accomplish the FLRA’s important mission.  For the full announcement, click here.

FLRA Announces Key Nomination by President Barack Obama (April 14, 2015)

 The Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) is pleased to announce that on April 13, 2015, President Barack Obama announced his intent to nominate FLRA Chairman Carol Waller Pope to serve an additional term as Chairman.  In making the nomination, President Obama cited Chairman Pope’s “depth of experience” and her “tremendous dedication” to her important role.  The White House’s full announcement can be found here.  For the full announcement, click here.  

FLRA Launches Electronic Filing for Cases Filed with the Office of Administrative Law Judges (March 23, 2015)

The Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) is pleased to announce that today it launched the final phase of its initiative to make electronic filing or “eFiling” available to parties in cases before the FLRA.  Parties may now electronically file case documents in unfair labor practice (ULP) cases before the FLRA’s Office of Administrative Law Judges (OALJ) online using the FLRA’s eFiling system.  The documents that may be eFiled include answers to complaints, motions, briefs, pre-hearing disclosures, stipulations, and “any other documents as permitted by the eFiling system for the [OALJ].” 5 C.F.R. § 2429.24(f)(15).  A Guide to Filing an OALJ Pleading Using the FLRA’s eFiling System is available here.  For the full announcement, click here.  

FLRA Announces Appointments to the Foreign Service Impasse Disputes Panel (March 12, 2015)

Carol Waller Pope, Chairman of the Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA), has appointed Betty Bolden, May Baptista, John C. Sullivan, and Shawn Hooper as members of the Foreign Service Impasse Disputes Panel (Foreign Service Panel).  Mary Jacksteit – who also currently serves as the Chairman of the Federal Service Impasses Panel (FSIP) – continues to serve as Chairman of the Foreign Service Panel.  Chairman Pope stated that she was pleased to appoint such highly qualified individuals.  For the full announcement, click here.
