This course offers a broad overview of federal-sector labor law. Topics include: the duty to bargain; meetings, including formal discussions, bypasses, and investigatory examinations (or Weingarten meetings); interference with statutory rights and discrimination based on protected activity; bars to filing ULP charges, such as timeliness and prior grievances; Information requests; and Representation issues. Exercises may be incorporated throughout the day to enhance the learning process.
Pre-registration is required. Space is limited, so please register early. Participants from the same facility may be limited to a certain number of seats per session to ensure that the program is made available to a broad audience within the federal labor relations community. (This course is at no cost to attendees.)
