DECISION REMANDING CASE TO REGIONAL DIRECTOR

The Regional Director for the Boston Region of the Federal Labor Relations Authority issued a Complaint and Notice of Hearing in this case. The scheduled hearing was opened on March 26, 1996 and was adjourned after one full day of testimony and receipt of documentary evidence, to a date not then determined. On April 5, 1996, I ordered the continuation of the hearing on May 21, 1996.

On May 15, 1996, Counsel for the General Counsel filed

a motion to remand the case to the Regional Director for approval of a settlement agreement between Respondent and

the Charging Party. Approval of the settlement agreement will constitute withdrawal of the Regional Director's Complaint and Notice of Hearing and, contingent upon compliance with the terms and conditions of the agreement, no further action will be taken in this case. I find that such a remand will effectuate the policies of the Federal Service Labor-Management Relations Statute. Accordingly, it is hereby

ORDERED that this case is remanded to the Regional Director for approval of the parties' settlement agreement.

Issued, Washington, D.C., May 20, 1996
